Join us at Lucky Cricket Farm for a hands-on showmanship clinic designed to help you polish your skills ahead of the Standardbred National Show!
This clinic, led by SPHO Member, Maria Buchanan is open to all experience levels — whether you're stepping into the show ring for the first time or looking to fine-tune your presentation.

Exhibitors are encouraged to bring their own horses, but we’ll also have a selection of experienced and green horses available for those who are horseless or unable to ship in. Come learn, practice, and get show-ring ready in a supportive, fun environment!

Maria Buchanan grew up immersed in the world of harness racing and has been showing Standardbreds since childhood, competing in nearly every discipline over the years. For the past 12 consecutive years, she and her longtime partner Big Bikkies have successfully shown at the Standardbred National Show, then joined by the talented Chocolate Delight, who became part of the family six years ago. Maria developed her showmanship skills by observing seasoned competitors and asking questions, and now she shares that knowledge by mentoring junior exhibitors and guiding them toward success in the ring.
