The 2024 30th Anniversary National Standardbred Horse Show will be held on the Friday-Sunday of Sept. 20-22, at the Horse Park of New Jersey.

The tentative class schedule has been published and can be seen at https://www.sphonj.org/s/2024-Class-Schedule.pdf.

Judges:

  • Nicole Ivins (Dressage)

  • Stephanie Mason (Dressage)

  • Jessica Axeelsson (Driving)

  • Shane Ledyard (Hunter/Jumper)

  • Kennis “Buttons” Fairfax (Western)

As the horse show entries have continued to grow exponentially over the past decade, our horse show has evolved to span over three days, including classes for dressage, hunter/jumper, Western, English, driving, speed/contest, and more.

In an effort to continue to attract new exhibitors, our goal is to keep our horse show entry fees as low as possible. With over 100 classes, the SPHO-NJ pays out prize money to the top four placings in every class. Catering to almost every horse/rider level, horses and exhibitors travel from all over the country to attend the National Standardbred Horse Show, and we are proud of the fact that that it has been the only breed show in the area with increasing numbers in recent years — an impressive feat in this economy — and the 2023 show had our best attendance ever in 30 years.

To continue to make this possible, we ask for your support for the 2024 National Standardbred Horse Show, and we are looking into some new and exciting things to add to commemorate the magnitude of this 30th anniversary show.

To put on a show of this magnitude, our horse show expenses include the rental of the Horse Park ($11,500), dressage arenas, jumps, judges, ring stewards, announcer, office personnel, entry software, photographer, ribbons, and back numbers, to name a few.
